MINISTER
Bro.
Rodney Langley
began as full-time minister on July 6, 2008. He comes to Groveton from
Harrisburg, AR where he was serving as a deacon in his congregation
there. He had been actively doing fill-in, interim preaching, and youth
meetings since October 2000. Bro. Langley has preached at
congregations in Romance, Keiser, Harrisburg, and Cherry Valley, AR.
Bro. Langley has been married for 13 years to his wife Lesa. She
is a third and fourth grade teacher at Kennard Elementary. They have two
children, Luke (9), and Becca (7). Bro. Rodney and Lesa teach Bible
classes and are actively involved in the visitation and youth programs.
Bro. Rodney has also been a guest panelist on the “Give Me The Bible”
television
program.
Bro. Langley is involved in the Groveton community by serving as
Vice President of the Trinity County Chamber of Commerce, team captain
for Relay for Life, member of the Groveton Lions Club, and as a parent
volunteer with Tri Cities Youth Sports baseball program.
Bro. Langley graduated from Arkansas State University in
Jonesboro, AR in December 1996 with a B.A. degree in Political Science
and a minor in Mathematics. He is currently studying towards a Master
of Ministry degree through Harding University (Searcy, AR) and is
enrolled at East Texas Bible School in Lufkin, TX.
